Danielle and Antonis’ wedding was the crowning moment of their long relationship. Sharing the same taste, they chose as a theme the contemporary memories of Greek mansions dressed in white and gold.
Designing and creating Danielle’s wedding gown felt like an endless adventure! The bride-to-be had something specific in mind but could not find the designer who would bring it to life. It all changed when she met Eleni Kollarou. Eleni shared her talent and passion and produced a princess-type gown taking Danielle’s wishes one step further. They worked together for hours, choosing the right Sophie Hallette lace and the added Swarovski crystals, while Eleni designed a long 3-metre train and an ethereal veil. Eventually, she also created a second dress for Danielle which was playfully dancing with her own moves!
The couple worked with local Greek artists aiming to personally influence every little detail of their big day. The church was decorated with classical Greek vases made to order; the interiors were lit up by two bespoke hand- carved and painted candles; the venue reception featured a poem written by Antonis for Danielle printed on their favourite photo in a carved wooden gold plated frame. They chose to invite their guests to leave their wishes on small strolls which were then placed in a wooden chest. The final personal touch was added through the guest tables: their names were inspired by places that the couple had visited and a personal photo from the same destination was placed in front of every guest’s chair, while a Renaissance map reprint was directing and immersing guests to their next destination.
They confessed their favorite moment of the day: “Late at night, after almost everyone had left and we were still dancing in embrace, we took a chance to relax and enjoy the nightly views while the DJ was playing smooth saxophone remixes. A mystic moment that validated our whole journey to this event”.
“We wouldn’t change a thing. We feel proud that we have invested a small part of our personality in every little bit of our wedding day, with the amazing neo-byzantine Chatzi Mansion being the perfect backdrop. We wanted to immerse our guests in the images and feelings of our common life and invite them to catch a glimpse of the power of our relationship”.
“We have the fondest memories from every aspect of our work with the Phosart team. We enjoyed every little bit. Our first conversation with Vicky, Stella’s kindness, George’s scenarios, Chris’ stunts, Natalia’s battles, Joanna’s enthusiasm, and, of course, George following our journey step by step. We advise our friends and future couples to follow our lead: book the Phosart team first and then start scheduling the remaining aspects of your wedding!”
With words like these, what more can we say than that they have a special place in our hearts forever and we truly feel lucky to have the chance to capture the happiness and love of this magnificent couple!
